Géographie

La Caraïbe comprend l'arc antillais (Grandes Antilles et Petites Antilles), la péninsule du Yucatán, le côté caraïbe de l'Amérique centrale,  de Colombie, du Venezuela et le plateau des Guyanes. On y inclut en principe les Bahamas, les Îles Turques-et-Caïques, les Keys et parfois les Bermudes, la Floride, même la Louisiane.

La Caraïbe est célèbre pour ses plages paradisiaques et pour l’exubérance de ses populations dans ses manifestations festives.

Saint Martin et Saint Barthélémy
L’île de Saint-Martin, située au nord-est des Petites Antilles, déploie sa palette de couleurs et rayonne au cœur de l’archipel des Caraïbes.

St Martin, oasis de calme, préservé et tout en harmonie,  est à quelques encablures de St-Barthélemy, un point minuscule sur la carte des Antilles, à mi-chemin entre Porto-Rico et la Guadeloupe.

A St Martin, Le nudisme est officiellement autorisé sur l'extrémité droite de la plage de la Baie orientale, mais est toléré sur beaucoup d'autres. Seul centre de naturisme des Caraïbes, situé à l’extrémité de la plage d’Orient Bay, le Club Orient.

Situated largely on the Caribbean Plate, the region comprises more than 7,000 islands, islets, reefs, and cays. These islands generally form island arcs that delineate the eastern and northern edges of the Caribbean Sea. The Caribbean islands are part of the somewhat larger West Indies grouping, which consists of the Greater Antilles on the north, the Lesser Antilles on the south and east (including the Leeward Antilles), as well as the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands (the Lucayan Archipelago, which does not border the Caribbean Sea).

The term French West Indies or French Antilles (French: Antilles françaises) refers to the seven territories currently under French sovereignty in the Antilles islands of the Caribbean.

One of the most beautiful tropical French Caribbean Islands is St Martin (St Maarten). The destination features excellent beaches, calm seas and lovely sunshine.  There are three languages you can associate with the island which are French, Dutch and English.  Some of the main activities you can participate in while on a vacation to St. Martins are skydiving, scuba diving, and para-sailing. 

Some of the beaches that are found in St Martins are Orient Beach, Anse Marcel, Grand Case beach, Bay long and Maho Bay.

Legally, except for the Club Orient beach, none of the beaches is officially declared as a nudist beach. The French side widely tolerates nudity as long as it doesn't have exhibitionist character.

Club Orient is the only nudist beach resort on the friendly island of St. Martin in the French West Indies (F.W.I.).  They are located in Orient Bay, one of the finest beaches in the world, with white sand and crystal clear blue waters.  

St. Barths has more than 20 beaches, ranging from the bustling St. Jean and Grand Cul de Sac to the more private Grand Saline, Gouvernier, and Flamands. Topless sunbathing is common, even on family friendly beaches like Shell Beach and Marechal, but public nudity is illegal.

The Caribbean is full of exclusive resorts. St Barths (St. Barts or St. Barthélemy) is one of the few exclusive islands.
